Goldsmiths North: A Showcase of Skilled Craftsmanship

Katerina Spinos

TVRRINI is proud to join Goldsmiths North in July 2023, along with four jewellers from the Institute of Professinal Goldsmiths. This is a place for those who want to discover skilled craftsmanship and captivating stories from jewellery designer-makers who add vibrance to the UK's craft scene.

In a month's time, we will be showcasing some of our collection alongside the Institute of Professional Goldsmiths (IPG). This highly anticipated fair is an opportunity to see the beautiful and skilled work of contemporary artisans up close. TVRRINI founder Bibi Cheung FIPG will put forward several jewellery pieces to highlight how her work draws inspiration from Mediterranean and Southeast Asian culture.

This year's fair is set to be the most exciting yet. From Friday 7th July to Sunday 9th July 2023, it will return to The Cutlers' Hall, one of Sheffield's most iconic landmarks, for a weekend full of exquisite craftsmanship and exquisite artistry. With over 70 exhibitors working across the UK, showcasing their finest works in precious metals and gemstones, visitors are sure to find something to delight and inspire their jewellery wardrobe.

At the IPG stand, established jewellers Russell Lownsbrough, Danila Tarcinale, Karina Martus, and Jenny House are going to showcase their fine jewellery designs which will only add to the excitement for Goldsmiths North this summer.

Not only will visitors be able to admire a wide-ranging display of craftsmanship, but you can also purchase their unique jewellery pieces as gifts. In addition, there will be demonstrations from craftspeople of various backgrounds in goldsmithing across the three days, with more information to be provided. Opportunities to have friendly conversations with the craftspeople will allow visitors learn more about their process and what inspires them to create such pieces. It’s a chance to see how craft is being sustained intensively.

To those planning to visit Sheffield for the first time, the city has a rich cultural history that should not be missed. There are plenty of other attractions and events to explore in addition to the Goldsmiths' North fair. The event website provides more information and advice to help you make the most of your visit, from recommended hotels and restaurants, to historic landmarks and cultural activities.
