Freedom of the City of London

We are thrilled that Bibi has become a Freeman of the City of London. Since the 1200s, the organisation has admitted a diverse mix of people in recognition of their contributions to society and culture. Receiving her honour in an intimate ceremony at the Chamberlain’s Court of Guildhall, the afternoon involved a discovery of classical works and curated moments linked to one of the city’s oldest surviving traditions. This included an introduction of the annual sheep drive to photocopies of the Freeman’s Declaration Book with famous signatures. 

On Wednesday 4th December, Bibi collected her Copy of Freedom, shown in the image above, alongside Goldsmiths’ Company Freemen. The perfect time to wear a sparkling City of London Shield brooch for marking this occasion and an exciting new chapter for TVRRINI.
