The Stones We Choose

Black and white beaded necklace on a dark background

For TVRRINI, material selection is often one of the first creative decisions. The colour, weight, translucence, and surface of a gemstone determine everything that follows: the palette, the proportion, the mood of the finished piece. It is not an afterthought. It is the brief.

Lapis Lazuli

Lapis lazuli has been prized since antiquity. Ground into ultramarine pigment by Renaissance painters, worn as amulets by Egyptian pharaohs, and traded along the Silk Road for millennia. The stone carries history in its depth. That particular blue, flecked with gold pyrite, is unlike anything manufactured. In the Mirage Necklace, it sits alongside garnet and freshwater pearl, a combination that rewards close attention.

Red Sponge Coral

Coral in its most vibrant form is the colour of fire caught in stone. In the Ember Necklace, red sponge coral is paired with emerald and freshwater pearls, creating a piece that glows with the richness of an ancient woodland at dusk. It is jewellery that announces itself

Rose Quartz and Milky Quartz

Where coral is bold, quartz is contemplative. Rose quartz carries a softness. It embodies a blush that sits close to the skin without demanding attention. Milky quartz is quieter still: translucent, cool, almost architectural. Together, they create a palette that feels both modern and timeless, as explored in the Ice Serenity necklaces.

Fluorite

Fluorite is the collection's most mercurial stone. Its colour shifts -- green to purple to clear -- depending on the light and the angle. In the Reverie Necklace, it sits alongside obsidian and rose quartz, creating a piece that changes character from morning to evening.

Each stone in the Vivid Dream collection is hand-selected. Subtle colour variations between pieces are not inconsistencies; they are the signature of natural material, chosen with intention.
